Great service

Had booked a non refundable hotel with hotels.com. Due to coronavirus this was no longer possible but they have dealt with my booking fairly and even though I had to wait up to 30 days for my refund it was credited back to my card within 14 days. Thank you hotels.com for sorting out my refund so quickly

Fabulous, all things considered

I have to say, personally they’ve been brilliant, all things considered. Yes, it was a pain to get though compared with normal, but given the circumstances they have helped me move / cancel several upcoming bookings. I’m not sure if being a gold member helped, but fantastic service in very difficult times.

Hotels.com sorted me out!

Sad to hear of some people's experiences. I had a trip booked to Italy in May, staying in 4 different hotels. Due to Covid19 my flights were cancelled and Italy was in lockdown, meaning my trip was a no-goer and had to cancel all 5 hotels.Hotels.com refunded me within a month for all of them....I even got my flights refunded by Jet2!!I use hotels.com often on both business and pleasure and have never had a problem...plus the 1 free night after 10 is a real bonus...unlike other hotel sites.

Everytime I use this website I am extremely happy with the outcome. Any issue I have had with hotels , they have always managed to resolve for me. Following the covid-19 outbreak I thought I would loose out on our non-refundable booking but a member of customer service resolved everything for us . Thank you Jean Pauline for your excellent customer service !

Happy customer.

I had 2 separate non refundable hotel bookings which both had to be cancelled due to the travel ban. To my surprise I received a full cash refund for both. ( l had written them both off ). Both the transactions went smoothly and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. I’ve had poor service from other companies ie Holiday Extras and reviewed them as such. So I thought a positive review was fair in the case of Hotels.com. and I’ll use them again for sure.

Would not hesitate to book again with you

I can not praise hotels.com enough for their customer service. I had a place booked in Amsterdam through them for 16th April. Weeks before the airline were in touch to cancel, hotels.com emailed to ask if I would like a refund. They said I would have it within 30 days and I did. They even contacted to apologise as I'd partially booked with tesco clubcard vouchers and, whilst I'd written these off, they sent me a voucher for the total amount if this to use with them. When we can, I will definitely, without hesitation, book through hotels.com again. Amazing customer service. Thank you so much

Mix up&Agent due diligence :-( of Mother's Day reservations

I made a change to my Mother's Day reservation in Sanra Barbara on Thurs morning. I told agent to email confirmation of revised hotel reservation and to call hotel because there is 1 room available. Increase bill of $98. The following day Friday, my son checked my room reservation and found my room reservation days were not changed. So my son changed my room reservation himself which cost him $125 increase. When confirming online that agent should call hotel, stay with agent until hotel confirms room reservations.. Fyi-- Sometimes, hotel rate can be cheaper or AAA rate, I found! Under Jimmy Madewell for his mom

Excellent Customer Service experience

I applied for a refund on a hotel cancellation on the 29th of April. I was told by customer service that this refund would be with me by the 14th may. This refund was received today. Many thanks Hotels ,com you have been a pleasure to deal with in the current climate.

Easy refund with hotels.com

Easy refund with hotels.com, some were free cancellation and others were not but due to the hotels being closed because of covid-19 and when I had booked them i.e. before March, I received a full refund with a few clicks, very happy, booking.com was a nightmare in comparison

I am happy with using Hotels.com and have done…

I am happy with using and have done business with Hotels.com for several years. I did have an issue with a REFUND on a CANCELLED hotel booking for April 02. 2020. It has been almost a month with no refund so I was getting concerned, once I actually spoke with a person at Hotels.com I was assured that the parent company (Expedia) did in fact initiate a refund on the day I cancelled, but that the money was taken out of my account by the Hotel property itself and I will have to call them to get my refund status. (He even called the hotel for me but it's after hours here and I'll need to speak to the manager there tomorrow). It definitely is frustratingly difficult to actually get to talk to a human, and it is not very clear on their website the actual steps to take when the "chat bot" dismisses you, (disclaimer- not verbatim, that agents are busy, check back later) But since this is an unprecedented time in world history and no one really has an actual "play-book" I'm giving them a break! I was treated courteously by Hotels.com customer service and believe that once I speak to the hotel property my issue will be resolved. I will book with them again!

Thought Hotels.com deserved some credit…

Thought Hotels.com deserved some credit in respect of our experiences over many years using them - never had an issue.Due to recent Pandemic issues we have received over £800 in refunds all automatically through website so certainly can't complain at that.

Happy but should be consistent service

In my case I am very happy with hotels.com as they refunded me fairly quickly without any issues. But having read the other reviews on here it is unfortunate that isn’t the case for everyone so maybe I got lucky early on

First class agent assistance

I contacted the chat line to try and get a refund or voucher for my cancelled hotel booking to Florida due to Covid 19. Despite being non refundable, the agent managed to get me a full refund from the hotel. The agent could not have been more helpful and I’m pleased to give him 5 stars for his help and advice. Well done.
